The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the list of JAMB Prohibited Items that have been banned in the JAMB 2020 UTMEexamination.
This was disclosed in the board’s weekly bulletin.
According to the bulletin, all eyeglasses will be properly examined and if convinced to be an exhibit will be confiscated.
It also added that if any UTME examination staff is found with any of the prohibited items in the examination hall might face sanctions.

The memo reads, “Kindly note that examination officials are allowed to scrutinize eyeglasses or similar devices and where convinced that such item may compromise the sanctity of the examination, the examination official should confiscate it.
“Where examination official (board staff or ad hoc staff) or any authorized person is found with any of these prohibited items in the examination hall, such compromising action would be treated as a deliberate act of examination sabotage and necessary sanction will be applied.

- pen/biro,
- mobile phones or similar electronic devices,
- spy reading glasses which should be scrutinized,
- calculators or similar electronic devices,
- USB, CD, hard disks and/or similar storage devices.
- books or any reading/writing material,
- cameras,
- recorders,
- microphones,
- earpieces,
- ink/pen readers,
- smart lenses,
- smart rings/jewelry,
- smart buttons
- Bluetooth devices
- Key Holders
- ATM Cards
- Erasers
