5 Habits To Avoid For Better Grades

Spread the love

One thing common with students is the ability to make decisions on building good habits to get better grades but what happens after the decision is taken?

Why are they always seeing the same result after every life-changing decision taken and after every exam?

5 habits to break in order to get better grades

It’s because of the habit they had built over time so they need to consciously develop a good habit that would help them manifest that decision they have taken

Learning from one source

Learning from a single source is very easy but doesn’t really give the understanding of the particular subject matter you are studying. So one habit you need to avoid while trying to improve your grades is learning from one source

Waking up late

Waking Up late should be wrong for every student because as long as you are in a learning environment you start your day early to be able to meet up with your daily class activities.

So learn to desist from this habit to enable you to build a habit that can help you read.

If you can wake up on time you have two choices, the first one is to read in the morning before going to class and the second one is doing your daily chores before going to class and when you get back home you just have to cook and eat, and clean.

Reading and working without break

You can’t read and work without breaks and expect to have the right energy towards preparing for an exam. There is no magic here, you just have to rest to avoid breakdowns

Not asking for help

Nobody Is an island of their own. If you don’t know any concept you have classmates that know it and would be willing to help, please do ask for help to avoid you failing your exams.

Not re-writing notes or reviewing notes

You should learn the habits of rewriting and revising your notes.

Revising your notes as often as possible is very good, while rewriting is about making a concise note or a summary of your textbook or class notes in your own words which would make you understand your notes better.

Habit To Break

Frequent phone usage.

Should I say this good gadget is the greatest enemy of so many students?  While preparing for exams, the only way to get over this is through discipline.

So we should avoid our phones and social media during our exams to avoid failing.

Not eating healthy.

No matter what we do if we don’t eat healthily, we won’t have the right energy to prepare for our exams. So eating properly is very crucial for your exam preparation.
