The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) is a federal government university located in Owerri West, the capital of Imo State. The University is bounded by the communities of Eziobodo, Umuchima, Ihiagwa, and Obinze, in Imo State, Nigeria. It is the premier federal university of technology in the southeast and south south parts of Nigeria.

Requirements.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
- The candidate must make at least 180 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening by the Federal University of Technology Owerri.
WHAT IS A CUT-OFF MARK?
A Cut Off Mark is the benchmark in which a student must meet in his/her JAMB Utme Examination so as to be considered for a Post UTME Examination or direct admission by the management of the institution he/she wishes to attend.

The management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has released the cut-off mark for the 2020/2021 academic session admission exercise.
The management has stated that the Cut Off Mark for the 2020/2021 Admission is set at 180. Therefore all candidates who scored 180 and above are eligible to apply to FUTO.
How To Calculate FUTO Post UTME Aggregate/Cut Off Mark Score.
The formula for calculating the FUTO Post UTME Aggregate Score is:
- Adding your JAMB Score and Your Post UTME Score
- Divide the Total by 8
(JAMB + POST UTME)/8.
Example:
If JOHN Scores 280 In JAMB And Scored 250 In Post UTME. {Both Scores are scaled over 400}
Post UTME Score= 250
JAMB Score = 280
Then, 280 + 250 = 530
Aggregate Score Will Be 530/8 = 66.25
So JOHN’s aggregate score is 66.25 out of 100.
